  • What's your experience coaching teams toward being Agile?

I have been involved in multiple Agile projects, within multiple companies, and at multiple levels (Designer, Business Analyst, Developer, Tester) over the past three or four years. I specifically have not individually couched teams, but have been a part of collective teams that knew the value of being Agile and would interject whatever pieces we could in projects that were not always open to the change. I may not have tons of experience, but do have the benefit of understanding and embracing the process from multiple view points.

  • What do you plan to learn /explore at this conference?

A few of the subjects I would like to explore are...

1.) How to become a better all around Agile coach, with an emphasis on the coaching practices that allow for individual leading as opposed to a team.

2.) Acquire more knowledge about how to be Agile in the processes outside of the code development. As in gathering requirements or Analysis and Design.

3.) How others have been able to overcome the hurdles of companies that were not wanting to change or willing to embrace Agile.

  • How do you plan to contribute?

I plan on contributing by sharing some of my past experiences, both successful and not so successful. Having an open mind that is willing to absorb as much knowledge as it can fit in and letting my nature of playing the "devils advocate" come out in order to challenge and question that which is susceptible to faults.
