What's your experience coaching teams toward being Agile?

I got bitten by the agile bug when consulting with a company in 2005 that engaged some very talented agile coaches. Later that year I started a consulting engagement with a team that was truly struggling and used XP and Scrum to turn things around. I now offer agile coaching services and agile workshops.

What do you plan to learn /explore at this conference?

I would like to learn about different coaching strategies for agile tranistions and the guideposts for the most effective path. One agile coaching engagement in particular did not work out well and I realized that I need an array of techniques and strategies to fit them to each coaching context.

I would also like to explore further inter-personal skills and how to grow trust and inter-dependence within teams.

Finally, I would like to learn how other coaches have engaged non-development team members, such as testers, UX designers, technical writers and so on into their agile training and coaching.

How do you plan to contribute?

One area that I feel is critical to team success is inter-personal skills. I would like to introduce the push-pull model of personal interaction which I learned from Juice.

I would also like to discuss sports teams as a metaphor for agile coaching and training.
