Fail_Fast_WHY

What's your experience coaching teams toward being Agile?

I have worked for approximately 10 years in various forms of transitions in Agile software development. I’ve spent the last three years leading the transformation of a hard-core waterfall company to a complete renovation into agile. I've been progressively becoming more intimate with the nuances and stupid-simple ways to stay on track as I've tried my best to coach agile teams.

What do you plan to learn explore at this conference?

One of the trends I've noticed as a business challenge while Agile has been maturing over the last few years is a outpouring of questions about how Agile changes non-IT people's world in companies. Some of the questions have not been aimed at enlightenment but rather at a seemingly never-ending campaign to discredit, reject, and wholesale ignore any benefits being proposed, observed, and experienced by using Agile principals which is troublesome. My hope is that there are others that have strategies and success stories about this trend that I can learn from, but I also hope to offer my own thoughts on the topic as well-- some lessons I've learned from making BIG mistakes along the way.

How do you plan to contribute?

I will be agile of course! I'll own the dilemma as will anyone else that participates in the discussion and thought around the topic, and will offer up some options that may be useful to others that may experience this trend in their own coaching future.
