What's your experience coaching teams toward being Agile?

I am a project lead for several non-Agile projects for 3-4 years, but was not satisfy with how the non-Agile projects being run.

So I started to search for alternatives, and came upon the XP book by Kent Beck.

From there onwards, I am hooked to Agile practices, continued to read other books on Agile, Scrum, Lean development, TDD, etc.

Whenever possible, I would try to adopt Agile practices into my non-Agile projects, but it was a struggle without management support.

I have joined Pillar last year where Agile is totally embraced, and is assigned to a customer site that has our own Agile team. We are doing TDD, CI, daily standups. We are in the process of cross-pollinating our Agile practices to other teams at the customer site.

What do you plan to learn /explore at this conference?

I have so many things that I need to learn. I like to learn what the followings:

  1. What are the responsibilities and qualities of an Agile coach?
  2. How do you measure the success/failure of the Agile coach?
  3. How does an Agile coach relate to the Architect?

How do you plan to contribute?

Due to my inexperience of in practical Agile, I will contribute by asking questions.
