We did not arrange a dedicated airport shuttle. It was quite expensive. I was hoping that we could self organize a ride share and I see that people are beginning to do that.

Metro Eddie's Shuttle is another option.
You must book at least one day in advance, and give them your flight information. They will check flight schedules and pick you up at the right time if your flight is late!
Price: $40 one way for one person, and $50 for groups of 2 or more reserving together!!

Also, there is the Michigan Flyer. They have seven runs a day from DTW to Ann Arbor for $15.
