What's your experience coaching teams toward being Agile?
I started out in Telco product development in the UK, where we used RAPID Applications Development (RAD), then DSDM, then XP and Scrum. I moved to New Zealand 11 years ago and later joined Nomad8 as an Agile coach, training agile, coaching teams and helping transform orgs. i joined BNZ 3 years ago, to help them extend agile transformation across the bank. It's fun, we run lots of experiments, and i keep forgetting I work for a bank....

What do you plan to learn/explore at this conference?
Talking to people and networking. Meeting and making new friends. Finding out what they are up to, what opportunities they have and they plan to do. I love the corridor conversations, connecting, exchanging ideas and growing them into something I want to experiment with and try out when I get back to see my teams. I love product development and want to find out how people are working to blend discovery and delivery work; to build the right the efficiently. I'm coming with an open mind and hope to explore talks that I would not normally attend.

How do you plan to contribute?
I'd love to talk through how language has such a huge impact on the change we seek to introduce, how if can alienate and bind people together. how we need to create a vocab for our orgs that makes change and values habitual; focusing on the language of why not how. I plan to be present and collaborate, and listen and learn and build on others ideas
