I can describe my coaching journey in 3 phases – fake, mimic and being authentic. I started my Agile coaching journey in 2013. As a Fake coach I coached basic Scrum process and practices to novice teams. Learnt from their context, challenges, success and failures. I got opportunity to work with other coaches, mimic their good behaviors and steal good ideas while coaching teams. Later, I have been coaching teams to help them learn Agile practices and experiment their ideas.
Prior to being a Coach, as a Developer I was part of a startup XP team (1998-2000) and contributed to evolve an idea to a dream solution over this period. I have also managed multiple teams and helped practice Scrum for some of them between (2006-2010). I have trained teams in Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and coached teams on technical practices (test first, BDD and Design Patterns).
Digitization is not just disrupting organizations, it is going to disrupt existing teams and talent. Lean-Agile practices could be leveraged by organizations to digitize their customer experience, operations, products/service and structure. Would be interested in learning from the event organizers and others how we can succeed in coaching them during Continuous Disruption future.
Share my novice ideas and thoughts about Continuous Disruption.
