What's your experience coaching teams toward being Agile?

I have worked in various teams assuming a variety of roles (Software Engineer, Tech Lead, Product Manager, Engineering Manager), been a part of many communities (both offline and online) and currently run a consulting company where I work with organizations helping them get more of what they want while minimizing what they don't want and didn't expect.

What do you plan to learn/explore at this conference?

  • I would love to hear your story.
  • I'm looking forward to learning from you.

How do you plan to contribute?

I can share what I've learnt about the following topics:
  • What the latest research on complexity and organizational theory tells us about how to thrive on and respond to the complexity of the human context in organizations
  • Why starting from where you are and accounting for your unique context is the ethical way to bring about change as opposed to starting from where you want to be (big-bang/whole-system/prescriptive approaches)
  • How to "scale" processes when dealing with complexity, i.e., decomposing and (contextual) recomposing vs. aggregating (running/experimenting-with a pilot project and then mandating the resulting processes on the entire organization)
  • Sociocracy
  • Consent-based decision making
  • Agile BOSSA nova
